SPECIALISED CONTAINER SERVICES LIMITED
Specialised Container Services has both port-based and stand-alone Depot facilities in ten locations across New Zealand, providing shipping container structural survey, maintenance and repair services, as well as empty container storage and handling. With it's broad geographic network and purpose-built facilities, Specialised Container Services is ideally equipped to service all customer demands, while remaining flexible enough to deal with volume related peaks and troughs. In addition, this structure has the advantage of a nationwide quality control system, which ensures customers enjoy a consistency of service throughout the country.
SPECIALISED REFRIGERATION SERVICES (NZ) LIMITED
Specialised Refrigeration Services (SRS) provides an integrated facility for refrigerated container repairs across New Zealand, ensuring maximum throughput efficiencies are gained by the combination of their services with the local Specialised Container Services Depot. With mobile and static mechanical repair facilities, these efficiency gains are realised as both the structural and machinery repairs are controlled as one.
SRS employs many of New Zealand's leading container Refrigeration Engineers, thus providing a highly specialised mechanical repair service. This service was established in 1996 with one tradesman and we now have over twenty (20) staff dedicated to maintenance and repair, and a further thirty-two (32) support staff nationwide. We understand the specialised needs of container refrigeration and the dedicated level of support required to effectively and economically maintain refrigerated container equipment.
SPECIALISED TRANSPORT SERVICES LIMITED
Specialised Transport Services (STS) is an independent service entity designed specifically for the requirements of the shipping and containerisation industry. STS was established in 1998 to meet customer demand for a comprehensive Depot service package. It enables our clients to coordinate their entire Depot service requirements through one point of contact - their local Specialised Depot. In 2001, it became apparent that there was a demand for containers to be transported in a more efficient, dynamic manner, particularly given the rising industry costs in areas such as storage and demurrage. In October 2001, The Specialised Group expanded this business with its own fleet of purpose-built container transportation trucks, offering direct services in the Auckland metropolitan area. Auckland is serviced by eight trucks and is supported by a network of subcontracted owner drivers supporting STS at peak periods. By operating a flexible and tailor-made container transportation business, STS can reduce demurrage costs and minimise congest delays, whilst utilising its existing infrastructure and buying power to reduce customer rates.
DIESEL ENGINEERING SERVICES LIMITED
Diesel Engineering Services (DESL) was established in May 2001, to provide a comprehensive range of diesel and generator services. Predominantly focusing on container handling equipment and trucks, DESL has sixteen staff nationwide, providing all mechanical engineering requirements, as well as offering support to SRS. This specialist inhouse expertise continues to assist the Group in ensuring internal operations run to full potential. DESL is proud to support training and development of tradesmen, offering full apprenticeships in the Level 4 National Certificate in Motor Industry, Automative Heavy Engineering.
HAZARDOUS GOODS CONTAINMENT SYSTEMS (2008) LIMITED
Specialising in the manufacture of hazardous goods cabinets, stores and segregation devices, Hazardous Goods Containment Systems (HazGoods) designs and builds an extensive variety of stores, ranging from under-bench Laboratory cabinets, through to transportable container sized units. Our segregation devices are predominately but not solely, used for the transportation of hazardous goods under class 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8, and 9. Our laboratory cabinets and storage units have been supplied to schools, universities, hospitals, printers, local body councils and transport companies.
